Posthumous Degrees Policy (Draft)


Purpose:

This policy establishes eligibility requirements and procedures for awarding posthumous degrees at Winona State University (WSU).

Policy:

WSU awards degrees posthumously to eligible graduate and undergraduate students when requested by the department of the student’s major, recommended by the dean and Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, and approved by the President. The degree is awarded according to certain guidelines after consultation with the family of the deceased student.
